  • Peak Season Surcharges & Rate Restorations:
    Carriers are implementing PSS and RR from mid-August through early September, ranging from USD 150–350 per TEU. Terminal Handling Charges are also rising, and COSCO has introduced a new Tasmania Arbitrary Tariff .

  • BMSB Season Returns:
    From 1 September, the 2025/2026 Brown Marmorated Stink Bug season begins. Goods from high-risk countries will again require strict treatment and inspection measures .

  • 2025 Load Restraint Guide Released:
    The National Transport Commission has launched a new Load Restraint Guide, focusing on practical guidance and Chain of Responsibility compliance. We encourage clients to familiarise themselves with the changes .

  • New USA–Australia Eagle Service:
    MSC will launch a new weekly standalone service linking the US East Coast to Australia and New Zealand in February 2026. The Eagle Service will enhance connectivity through key ports and the Panama Canal .

  • Global Shipping Schedule Disruptions:
    Blank sailings on the China–Australia lane rose to 6.6% in June. Port congestion in Europe, China, and Australia continues to disrupt global schedules, reinforcing the need for flexible supply chain planning .
